West Central Behavioral Health is looking to hire full- or part-time Child Clinical Therapist for our Newport, NH location. West Central is the non-profit community mental health care provider for Sullivan and the lower Grafton counties, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.

As a therapist on this team, you will provide individual, family and group therapy for children from a broad range of ages and presenting diagnoses. Come work as a member of a cohesive, multidisciplinary team.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief psychotherapy to children and/or families, including intake and evaluation, collaboration and mobilization of community resources, and provision of individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Assist clients to gain insight, define goals, and plan action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
  • Manage case referrals and assignments, coordinating client care needs with other team members to ensure effective and optimal care.
  • Follow through with parents, teachers, referring physicians or agencies as needed in a timely way to ensure optimal client care coordination.

General Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in mental health discipline
  • Must be eligible for LICSW or LCMHC licensure by the State of New Hampshire
  • Previous experience working with children in a mental health field
