Lead a cohesive company-wide Field Medical Affairs function, setting strategic direction and identifying metrics to ensure effectiveness for field based medical teams. Ensure alignment with corporate and clinical key initiatives.. + Establish and maintain relationships with thought leaders and external healthcare customers to engage in field scientific discussions and collect insights to report to corporate leadership team.. + Ensure alignment of field based medical communications with corporate and medical affairs objectives.. + Collaborate with product development and clinical operations in activities such as new product development, human factor testing, company-sponsored studies.. + Represent field medical on GMA, commercial and clinical development leadership forums.. + Manage project work related to Medical Affairs activities, including participation in building out departmental infrastructure and designing training and educational programs for the field Medical Affairs.. + Serve as a senior level field-based point of contact for current and future clinical investigators, speakers, and other healthcare providers on a range of clinical and scientific issues.. + Manage budget for field teams, including travel, training and professional development.. + Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, provide salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, coach, mentor and develop employees; develop work plans and conduct performance evaluations. Ensure teams' compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.. + Perform other duties as assigned.. For this role you will need. Minimum Qualifications. + 8 years' working in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry (or appropriate clinical setting). + 3 years' managing field-based Medical Affairs teams. + Ability to travel at lease 60%.
