Laboratory Services at Saint Peter's is seeking an evening/night Supervisor to oversee daily operations and specialized functions of the Lab.
As the Supervisor, you will:
* Ensure the Department is well-organized and assigned work is completed in established time frames. * Participate in the hiring, transferring, training, orienting, and promoting or discharging of sectional staff. * Provide continuing education opportunities for the team and keep abreast of changes in the field by attending seminars and reviewing current journal materials. * Conduct periodic checks of Policy and Procedure Manuals to maintain accuracy. Write new procedures utilizing an organized and concise format, following proper guidelines. * Recommend staffing, new procedures and plans for improvement of Department services. * Monitor Quality Control and Quality Assurance Programs. * Participate in budget preparation and monitors budgetary expenditures. * Maintain inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly or as-needed basis as determined by Departmental needs. * Take weekend, administrative, technical \"on call\" duty voluntarily or as assigned by the manager. * Perform functions as Clinical Laboratory Technologist depending on departmental staffing needs.
* Bachelor's Degree in medical technology. * ASCP certification strongly preferred * Three (3) to five (5) years of technical experience.
