As Division Chief of Thoracic Surgery, clinical responsibilities will include but are not limited to growth and expansion of thoracic surgery at RWJUH as well as the RWJBarnabas affiliate hospital programs for both cancer (in conjunction with the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey) (CINJ) as well as benign disease states as they relate to the specialty with the implementation of new and expanding clinical programs. Administrative responsibilities will be responsible for the recruitment of new faculty and strategic planning for the division as developed in concert with the Chair and the overall vision of growth and expansion of the Department as well as thoracic oncology with CINJ. Position will have oversight of quality and performance improvement initiatives. As part of the mission of the medical school will have responsibilities for research as well as education of residents and students and such duties as assigned by the Chair or the Dean.
