Array's portfolio, which Pfizer recently acquired includes the approved combined use of BRAFTOVI?? (encorafenib) and MEKTOVI?? (binimetinib) for the treatment of BRAFV600E or BRAFV600K mutant unresectable or metastatic melanoma. The combination therapy has significant potential for long-term growth via expansion into additional areas of unmet need and is currently being investigated in over 30 clinical trials across several solid tumor indications, including the Phase 3 BEACON trial in BRAF-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) which just recently was presented showing 48% reduction in risk of death.

In the U.S., colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer in men and women. An estimated 140,250 patients were diagnosed with cancer of the colon or rectum in 2018, and approximately 50,000 are estimated to die of their disease each year. BRAF mutations are estimated to occur in up to 15% of colorectal cancer cases and represent a poor prognosis for these patients. Braftovi/Mektovi will have the opportunity to address a significant unmet need.

This role will serve as the Global Commercial Lead with a unique structure and responsibilities at Pfizer. This role will be responsible for working with our 2 global alliance partners in setting the global strategy and plan to maximize the melanoma business and ensure a successful launch of the CRC indication as well as prepare for future indications. This role is P&L accountable with oversight of multifunctional colleagues and will report to the President of North America Oncology.

The primary responsibilities will be:
to ensure business continuity and work with the direct reporting functions across multiple different disciplines as well as leading through the matrix to ensure broader resourcing and functions are aligned with the support needed to maximize the business.
  • Maximize the melanoma indication which was launched last year.
  • Prepare for the future indication launch of CRC in early 2020 and work with field leadership on building the support needed to maximize the launch. The BRAFTOVI/MEKTOVI combination is project to reach $1B+ in revenue.
  • P&L accountability for the business as well as responsible to set the strategy and lifecycle plan for future indications.
  • Role will sit on the global medicine team for BRAFTOVI AND MEKTOVI
  • Alliance Management - Work closely with Pierre Fabre and ONO the alliance partners for Braftovi/Mektovi in Europe and Japan.
  • Define a plan with alliance partners on increasing BRAF testing rates
  • Work with marketing, analytics, payer, KAM team and sales colleagues to assess and understand trends and identify opportunities for course correction, as needed
  • KOL Management - Develop relationships with thought leaders/KOLs across in-line and near-term launch indications to further customer experience knowledge and competitive insight

  • Minimum of 15+ years of pharmaceutical leadership experience
  • BS required
  • Previous in-line US Marketing Director level experience required
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of BAI/GCO and payer dynamics
  • Experience in commercial development/lifecycle planning
  • Proven track record of identifying customer needs, extracting key insights, and translating these into meaningful value propositions, and tactics
  • Demonstrated success in developing, executing, and measuring complex HCP marketing programs - both personal and non-personal tactics
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners without direct authority through influence, persuasion, analysis, negotiation, and facilitation capabilities
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to engage experts from a wide range of functional areas to improve business performance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance
  • Confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create, and bring ambiguity into action
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative
  • Solid business acumen with excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management, including negotiation skills
  • High-energy self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create and bring ambiguity into action

  • Proven ability to build and develop strong corporate partnership relationships

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Experience managing a matrix organization and dealing with alliance partner (preferable)
  • Oncology, specialty, rare disease, or immunology experience preferred

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Role can be based in New York, NY or Boulder, CO . If the selected candidate fills the role at the NY location, then the expectation is to be in Boulder a few days a week.
