Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy.
Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS.
Basic computer/keyboarding skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing and skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Our St Louis Park Pediatric Department is expanding and we are seeking candidates to join our busy, fast paced clinic! Our department sees approximately 160 patients per day. Our clinicians consider the Hall Team, which is the team this position is a part of, as a colleague and partner together to take care of our patients. Collaborating with all members of the team is how we have continued to have good patient experience results and maintained high quality measures. The team is friendly and engaged, and there are fun events throughout the year to support a collaborative environment.
This position provides direct patient care and support for our large and growing Pediatric department. You are expected and supported to work at the top of your training and certification by following standard rooming processes, CDC vaccine schedules, and following pre-visit planning standing orders.
We provide our new hall team members a comprehensive orientation and onboarding program to ensure success in the role. This includes several weeks of 1:1 training followed by several months of feedback and support from your mentors and Leadership staff.
