Our Clinical Specialist will lead their territory building strong relationships, educating and developing new business for our VNS Therapy Systems!
One main objective will be to facilitate the patient identification and education process. As a part of this, you will assist in obtaining funding verifications and perform all other necessary activities to ensure patients are pulled through to implant. This will involve education, training, and in-services to patients and Health Care Professionals as individuals and as groups. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be expected to gain new implants and to manage the patient identification process for the entire territory. Utilize your best multi-tasking skills, as you implement and manage the patient pull-through process. simultaneously supporting surgical cases.
Get the opportunity to assist in the new patient development process and to also assist in patient symposia development. Another task for this role will be to follow-up and occasionally assist with VNS therapy programming (initial ramp-up and follow-up) which will be in clinics and during intraoperative support. As our Clinical Specialist, you will be expected to travel the above-mentioned territory, visiting various healthcare professionals and Epilepsy Patient Advocate Groups, including weekends when necessary. It is essential that the Clinical Specialist have 3 + years' experience in the field of epilepsy and/or general neurology. You must possess an RN, BS/BA in Nursing, life sciences or equivalent, or PA (Physician's Assistant). You must also possess excellent critical thinking/problem solving/follow-up skills!
