We are seeking a Staff Development Nurse Supervisor (LPN) to assist the Director of Nursing to organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the nursing department, as it relates to staff development, and to meet the needs of residents. Provides the delivery of services in accordance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate requirements. We offer: + Competitive Wages + PathwayPay (daily pay) - Get your pay, when you need it. + Generous PTO Program + Health (Blue Cross Blue Shield), Dental & Vision Insurance + Life (employer paid), Short & Long Term Disability, Group Accident, and Critical Illness + 403(b) & Flex Spending + Employee Assistant Program + Tuition Reimbursement + Employee Discounts and Other Perks + Advises and consults daily with the Director of Nursing on nursing and resident care issues. + Assists in ensuring the building remains in substantial compliance for all state and federal agencies. + Assists the Director of Nursing in the planning and implementation of procedures for all state and federal surveys. + Coordinates audits and the analyzing of information for continuous quality improvement. + Participates in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service classes to help ensure a well-educated staff. + Tracks all in-service attendance to ensure that annual mandatory nursing staff training requirements are met, in Relias and meetings. + Tracks and gives TB tests, and Hepatitis B to staff and residents as needed. + Tracks and performs staff physicals as needed. + Serves as an active member of all committees as needed in the corporation. + Attends and participates in continuing education programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession. + Consistently works cooperatively with residents, staff, volunteers, and families to ensure Residents are receiving the best quality care. + Assists with orientation of new employees to their duties according to the corporate guidelines. + Conducts competencies for CNA skills, Nursing skills, Medication Aide skills and Infection Control for staff, as directed by the Director of Nursing. + Organizes and maintains all records necessary, following corporate policies and procedures. + Demonstrates consistent management of staff and resources. + Follows all written and oral directions given by supervisor. + Participates in all in-services and activities as required. + Observe all community policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, infection control, Residents' rights, and those contained in the employee handbook. + Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure. + Applies the minimum necessary standard in all matters related to residents' protected health information. + Performs other tasks as assigned. + Graduate from an approved school of nursing required. + Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or RN required. + Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse required. + Demonstrate dependability, cooperation, and interest in the care of the elderly. + Display leadership qualities, good communication skills, and a desire to continuously learn. + Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. + Ability to follow written and oral directions. + Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. + Pass background check before and during employment, as defined by Christian Horizons' background check policy. #CB Street: 3000 Risen Son Boulevard ID: 2019-4190 External Company URL: www.christianhomes.org </script>
